We need your help for work on the fell soon
Can you help on 30th June from 0930 am?
We need help to remove some old fencing on F2
You don't need to bring tools, but if you bring some it may help
Work will involve levering, cutting, lifting etc
We will be improving the route down the M1 so we can open F2 more often
A New Fence will go on a direct line from the top of F2 to the M1 giving the option to Groom & Ski on either side
A second New Fence will be on the North side of the M1 replacing the poor existing fence
We will also need volunteers on the following dates
11th July to further remove fencing, if we don't get it finished.
Also 22nd, 23rd & possibly 24th July for assisting with construction of new fence

Why do we need your help for maintenance?
Weardale Ski Club is a volunteer run club and the reason that we continue to exist is that we do the vast majority of the maintenance and repair work with the help of you, our members, mostly at Summer Work Parties . Generally work parties start at 0930am and finish by about 4pm though you are free to come and go whenever you wish.
The jobs vary from skilled to unskilled but mostly involve getting dirty and most are generally manual.
Other tasks we may need help with this summer are- Garage tidying and organisation, Lodge cleaning, painting, Fence work, Bridge repairs, Ditch repairs, Stone Clearing, Engine servicing
Please reply if you can help later this summer, which jobs you prefer, what skills you have.
However, generally, you you don't need any specific skills
Also if you have other skills you think might be useful to us, feel free to get in touch
