The Weardale Ski Club Ltd
The first of our September work parties is scheduled for 10th September and all members and prospective members are welcome. We still have plenty of work getting the slopes ready for the forthcoming ski season including snow fencing repairs, ditching and some mechanical work.
We are hoping to have a BBQ also but due to uncertainty over numbers felt the best approach was for us to provide the BBQ and anyone who wishes to, can bring along their own food for the BBQ.
As mentioned before, work parties are a great way to meet other members, see what the ground is like without snow cover and they are also good fun and great way of getting exercise and fresh air.
Membership renewals for existing members opens at the start of September so you will be getting an email from Sportident soon with details. We have kept the renewal fee the same again this year and are pleased to welcome LD Mountain Centre, Newcastle (www.ldmountaincentre.com) and Ski Swift (www.skiswift.co.uk) as our sponsors for the year.
